Looking for a new house

Fred could see the mansion and wanted to see if he could live there. He climbed over the fence. then he heard noises. the mansion defence started to go off. he started running towards the mansion as fast as fred could go. "What the ****" Fred said. A second later he got hit by one of the metal disks. just before he got hit he rotated the disk with his water so he only got hit by the flat side, so he didn't that bady injured.

'What the heck' was exactly what Jake was thinking when he fell out of the tree he was napping in when the alarms went off. He snarled and quickly deactivated the alarm. How was he supposed to figure out who or what was intruding when that thing was blaring. He then dropped to tiger form and listened for anything unusual. He took a sniff and headed off in the direction of this new person.

He stopped in front of a person laying unconscious in the yard. He laid back his ears. He softly nudged the guy with his paw and leaned back, waiting for some kind of reaction.

Fred felt the nudge and started to wake up. The looked up to see a tiger starng back at him. Fred quickly ram backwards. "what's up with this place, first a whole lot of robots start firng things at me, and now there is a tigerhe aswell"

Jake jumped back, not expecting such a fast reaction.
"Ah....um....hrawr..." He let his stammering end with a confused growl. (Literally sounding like: hrraAoWw. How else can I describe it...?) Jake laid back his ears, not quite knowing what to do. In hindsight, he probably should have gone human *before* waking the guy up...well....too late now. Jake blinked a couple times

"...."

I fly in hearing the alarms and land on jakes head.

" way to go you scared him half to death. Anyway was he the one to set off the alarm?"

I lean over and look into his face upside down awaiting an answer.

"Well.. I was hoping to make it a little less alarming by not talking but you really killed that hope." Jake muttered.

"get away from me" Fred shouted. he then fired some water at the tiger and bird."ooops, forgot about that, oh well the're not humans" and started to run.

Jake shook himself, disturbing Pengy's perch.
"Hey- ....wait!" That kid's a mutant too!?
Jake quickly changed to human and chased after the guy. "I just want to talk!"

"i dont talk to tigers go aways" Fred said before he triped over. he looked to see if the tiger was still there. he saw someone following him but he couldnt see the tiger anymore. it was just a human. fred stood up. "Hi, is the tiger still arounr."

I fly up and perch on jakes shoulder.

I whisper to Jake " wow you had to chase him down."

Jake waved pengy off.
"Uh... not exactly..." Jake said rubbing the back of his neck. He quickly changed the subject.
"Why are you here?"

"i am looking for a new house. so i thought i would start at a mansion."

Jake smiled and raised a brow. Something made him like this guy.
"So you were planning on waltzing up to a random place and hope they let you in with open arms?"

"um, well i didnt think that far ahead, i just thought of getting a better house the living next to a river. so im guessing you're not gonna let me live here?" Fred turned around and started to walk away

"Hey- I never said that!" Jake shouted after the guy. He caught up with him. "But if you want to live here, you'll be getting some...*strange* bunkmates..." He added honestly.

Fred turned back towards jake. "The're proberbly not as strange as me"

"Wanna bet?" Jake asked, with a broad grin.

At this point Kiki flew in over the gates. "Yo Jakey! I came for a visit! Is this a good time?" she said landing next to him. To late she noticed a new guy talking to him. "Oops I guess not.."

"Hey you can fly!" fred shouted surprised. "I have a power too." Fred made some water out of the oxygen and fired it above Kiki so it would fall on her.

Jake grinned. "I told you." He watched the guy's power. "Well, since that cat's out of the bag- this is Xaviers institute for.... uh.... It's a place for mutants." He finished, not able to remember what the sign said on the main gate.

"How many people live here?" Fred aksed "Wait are there other places where mutants are, im so confused." Fred got tired of standing up so he made a chair out of water to sit on

Floating the water so it wouldnt hit her she moved it over the grass. She watched the new kid sit down on a water chair. "Doesn't that make your butt get wet and stuff?" she asked making two chairs for herself and Jake. Hers were made out of red plasma looking stuff.

"Well it does get my butt wet but i can take the water out later to make it dry. you still havent answered my questions yet." Fred said angrily "also cool chiars."

"Well, this is a place where mutants can go to hone in their powers and stuff... there's another place for mutants... but no offense, Kiki, but that place is a *dump*... And as for how many people that are here.... Let's see... Logan, Professor, Storm, Kitty, Wes....." Jake mutters on, trying to count how many people are in the mansion.

"Jean, Scott, Spike, Damian, Suki, Kurt...." she added. "Also, the other place isnt that bad anymore. Still it cant compare to the mansion...I used to live here." she explained to the new kid.
