Layla was laying on her bed facing the end and had a small laptop sitting on the bed right in front of her face. Textbooks, notebooks, and papers were scattered all over and even falling on the floor. She flipped through her World History book and highlighted sections and paragraphs, anything she found important. Her teacher had given everyone in the class a study guide paper, and Layla was finishing the answer to the last question. Tomorrow was the midterm test.
"Midterms....." she groaned and her black kitty ears twitched in irritation, dropping her pencil and head to the soft but cluttered surface of the blankets. She wasn't a bad student. Actually, she was a very good student, always got good grades. But tonight, all the studying was giving her a headache. She grabbed all her books and papers and stacked them up together, set them aside, closed her mini laptop, and just laid there. She wanted to take a break for a while, so she closed her eyes but didn't fall asleep. Her black tail flicked back and forth as she enjoyed the softness of the blankets.
