SOME ACTION! (Kitty and Jake only.)

Jake gave a few practice punches with his metal arm. He was in human form and in full practice uniform. He and Kitty decided on some practice by themselves. Jake had gotten much better since his first few Danger Room sessions, and so had his metal arm. He had upgraded the metal plates and some of the mechanics of it, so this would be a good field test for it. He rose to half-form and watched it shift, happy with it. He flexed his fingers, watching claws slide in and out.

Kitty walked in, full unifrom, tightening her ponytail. She began to stretch out her muscles and loosen up her body. She worked better loose. "So, like, are we ready to start?"

She knew they were both in dire need of a training session, as Kitty had forgotten her last one. She needed to blow off steam, Jak needed to test out modifications to his arm. All in all, their plan for today worked perfectly.

"Totally." Jake said, punching the air with his left arm again. He wasn't sure how powerful it could hit yet, since the metal was lighter. His dad said this metal would be much more resilient, so he quickly swapped it. The claws were also a new feature he wanted to try out. He didn't normally have actual claws on the mechanical arm.
"Let's do this."

"Alright, activate Danger Room." Kitty commanded. The Danger Room sprung to life, it's usual weaponary and traps were assisted by newer machinery thathad been added since it's last use. The objective: Survive until the Danger Room powered down. "Like, aivide and conqure, Jakey-Boy!" Kitty said before taking off at on of the floor turrets.

She made easy work of it, phasing through it and disruppting it's electrical current.

Jake roared and charged straight on at another floor turret.
Alright, this is either going to be totally awesome or this is going to kill me. He assessed in his head. It started firing off rounds of bullets. Jake quickly brought his arm up flat to block across his body and lowered his upper body to decrease his target. The bullets immediately lost momentum as soon as they hit this new metal. He grinned. Without missing a beat he reached the floor turret, tore it out of the ground and threw it into a wall's laser turret. As awesome as that was, now wasn't the time to pat himself on the back.

Kitty caught Jake's arm deflecting bullets out of the corner of her eye. Just as she was about to ask about it, she was brought back into the moment with a paintball whizzing past her ear, skimming the tip of it. A buzzsaw was her next target.

She charged foreward carefult to phase through anything that came her way and manuver through pitfall traps. She allowed another turret to lock on her, careful to avoid the blasts. She postioned herself just beyond the blade's reach and allowed the turret to fire. She phased through the turret's prjectile, and allowed it to hit the blade causing it to break. Kitty then dove at the turret and phased through, succefully taking it out.

Jake charged at another turret, feeling confident in the awesome upgrades. He yelped as the floor dropped from under him. He grabbed the edge with his right arm. He laid back his ears as a saw passed over horizontally, close enough to give him an unwanted haircut. As it passed over again he slammed his metal fist into it. It didn't fly off as he expected, so the new metal must have lightened his punch. "Heh, I didn't even feel that." He couldn't help but say aloud as he punched it again, breaking the circuits in the handle. One final punch knocked it out of his way to climb out of his hole. He used his arm to block as he climbed up, this time more alert to traps.

Kitty phased back up through the floor. The pitfalls were going to be a problem if something wasn't done about them, but Kitty couldn't see anyobvious power sources for the traps, they'd just have to make do. Kitty continued on her machine desroying spree, phasing through anything with wires she could find.

Jake ducked and blocked shots as he bashed in and pulled out turrets. The faster they were out of the picture, the easier it would be to focus on the inevitable harder opponents. Jake jumped back as a trap slammed down in front of him. And the traps. That would be another focus. He leaped on top of it and used it to give him enough air to grab a higher turret and pull it down with his weight. The wires stretched out of the wall. He wondered what he could do with them...

While phasing was her primary offensive and defensive move on the turrets, Kitty found that some had weak enough armor that she could use her own strength to take out. Her frenzy continued with sparks and scrap metal marking her path. She was still being cautious of the flor traps. While she did afairly good job of avoiding them, Kitty slipped a bit when a pitfall cught half of her foot.

"Jake, like, do you see anything that looks like the traps' power source?" Kitty asked despertaly, while ridding them of another turret.

"Not quite, I'm going to see if I can make something happen with these wires, though." Jake reported, moving the fallen turret to make a barricade then shifting back to human to hide behind it better. He checked the pockets on his uniform to see if he left anything useful in them. Of course not. Instead he used a sharp edge on the turret to cut the wires and got to work trying to peal back the protective covering without frying himself.

Kitty began to watch Jake's back allowing him to focus on what he was doing. She couldn't phase him through the turrets' projectiles or he wouldn't be able to work. This called for Plan B. Careful not to stray too far from Jake, Kitty went to work taking our surrounding turrets.

Jake managed to get the inner wires exposed on all of them with only slightly numb fingers. He thought for a moment then started re-attatching them in a random pattern, what he believed to be wiring it mostly backwards.
"Got it!" He said triumphantly as he finished. He looked around and the other turrets seemed to be spazzing out along with some traps. His joy was tampered however, when they stiffened up again and then more folded out of the walls. "Or Not."

((Time to steal the Wolverine/Colossus combo))

The turrets were too far up for Kitty to reach alone, Jake cold probably get them with a good jump. "Jake, like, throw me at turrets." Kitty comanded. She was light enough and Jake was big enouh so that throwing her were be fairly easy, espically if Jake was in his half-form.

Jake gave a sharp nod then rose to half form. He quickly set himself up to throw Kitty, hurrying to avoid getting shot. "Ready?" He asked, not wanting to just pick her up and chuck her... that seemed a bit rude.

((Kitty! Kit!))

Kitty gave a short nod, trying to supress the second thoughts she was having. "Do it." She lowered herself into her stance so that Jake could get a good grip on her.

"Aright." Jake took a deep breath himself and threw her at the nearest turret. He hoped he didn't throw her too hard... but then again too easy would be bad too. He grabbed the fallen turret that they had been using as a barricade and threw it like a Olympic hammer into a turret a couple over from the one that he threw Kitty at. He charged forward, arm ready to defend as he charged forward.

Kitty phased through the wall as got close enough. Once inside the wallshe noticed that the wiring for some of the other turrets was around her, she quickly took those out as well. She came out of the wall shortly afterwards and gave jake a thumbs up "Like, nice toss Jakey!"

(Yes! Totally! But we'd probably need to practice for Jake to feel comfortable with hurling you through the air...)

Jake twitched an ear and gave a thumbs up to her without turning his head. It looked like most of the turrets were now either crushed, sparking, or just still. He couldn't see much threats at the moment, but he kept alert.
He hesitated a moment, afraid to jinx it, but then said: "Well, that went well."

((Then we shall, what shall the next level be))

"Totally, I think we did pretty good for a a couple of kitty-cats." Kitty joked. She popped her shoulder a little. "Like, we totally gotta try that more often." Kitty giggled. The daner Room began to hum as it powered up again.

(Should we do the bit with the drones now?)

"What? The throwing thing?" Jake asked. He couldn't help but look back at her in surprise. "You actually liked that?"

(Yeah, let's make 'em so that they're powered from the Daner Room's control center so Kitty can't just phase through everything and end it. How much longer do you want to run it?)

"Totally!" Kitty answered "Like, we'd be unstoppable if we prefected it!" Suddenly the Daner Room began powering up again "Here we go." One part of the wall slid open and two drones marched out, followed by a larger drone.

"Cake." Kitty said as she rushed towards the larger drone. She phased herself through the drone and turned around, waiting for it to shut down. the drone began to turn around and lock on Kitty.

She quickly phased through the floor to avoid the blast.

(Eh, Idk. Maybe a few more posts each then Jake will have too much fun with the claws)
(For Jake not to actually die later, I'm saying the small ones at least are paintball-shooters)

Jake ducked a flying paintball as he charged forward.
"Ah the paintball drones." He probably could have just blocked the shots with his arm, but then he'd be cleaning the paint off for hours... He grabbed one of the smaller ones then flipped it onto the second one. He then hammerfisted them down further with his right arm.

Kitty spent her time playing cat and mouse witht helarger drone, and despite her namesake, was most definatly the mouse. Occasionall she was get clise enough to get a quick strike in, but the fact she learned most of her fighting styles from Logan didn't change the fact she wasn't nearly as strong as Wolverine or Talon. She figured every strike on the robot hurt her hand, knee, leg, or whatever, more that it did any damage to the robot.

The only thing she could do was aviod it and keep it distracted while Jake finished up with the smaller drones.

Jake growled. He was getting tired of punching out smaller drones. For each one that he hit, another one spawned. Without thinking, he swiped at the closest drone with his left hand. The new claws cut deeply through the skin and the underlying wires. Jake grinned. Not only was that totally awesome he also was reminded of another option on how to win. He dodged some more paintballs.
